The snowy mountains of Claigard are a harsh environment. The Froderung are a strong people, bred out of natural selection, who are physically powerful and thrive on little nourishment. They are particularly likely to engage in conflict with neighboring lands, and must keep their borders with the Sverting ready to repel attacks. Those skirmishers are looking to expand their territory into the mountain wildernesses, and the Froderung have trouble splitting their forces too thin, for they never know where an attack might come.
